I think that this is the ultimate most important thing you have to know. why?
Well, when I first had my eczema, I was really really confused on what I should do. Should I go dermatologist? should I just moisturize well everyday and let my own body to heal naturally????
From my own experiences, here is what i suggest:
1. Go to your GP (personal doctor lol).
Just to make sure that it really is eczema.
2. Buy a soap-free wash like Cetaphil or QV wash and STOP USING NORMAL SOAP.
Use this for everyday shower/bathing. Oh, and don't use too HOT water coz it'll make ur skin drier.
3. DON'T SCRATCH.
Like seriously try not to scratch.. Try not to even touch your skin when it's itchy. Try this: Open and close ur fist a couple of times instead of scratching it. Or do something else e.g play computer game or whatever that makes your hand do something.
4. If the cream that your GP doesn't work or your eczema just gets worse and worse, go to the dermatologist. As early as you can. I know this may cost some money but seriously it's better than having to put up with it for months like I did.
So far I've only reached point 4. And after suffering really bad eczema for nearly 2 months, my skin is getting better after going to the GP last tuesday.. yay.. :)
Well there it is, but my ultimate ultimate tip is: DON'T SCRATCH!!!!!!!!!
You might be wondering wazzup with me and DON'T SCRATCH message, but trust me, I really don't want you to go through the same phase as I did *and is still currently under*. The scratching that I did left me with dark spots, especially on my neck. My neck is like literally black and rough looking. my inner arms and inner thigs as well.... just don't scratch people...
Finally..... those are my tips..... and I hope that it will help you.. :)
